PETALING JAYA: Fortuna Grande Holdings Sdn Bhd, a new player in the bakery industry, is looking at supplying its muffins to 100 more outlets next year.
The company, which was set up this year and began selling muffins in the last three months, is already supplying its products to 28 outlets in Klang Valley.
Its director, Ivan T. Boudville, said next year, the company plans to expand the product range from non-preservative Grande Muffins to more bakery products, including bread.
"We have five flavours to date, which are double chocolate, banana chocolate, banana walnut, oats raisins and golden pumpkin.
"All our muffins are halal and made of real fruits and nuts, without any artificial flavouring, preservatives, colouring, sweetness and transfatty acids," he said when unveiling the Grande Muffins brand here.
Boudville, a former print journalist, said the response has been very promising. So far, the firm has invested RM500,000 in the venture.
"This is a family business which I run with my brother and brother-in-law. We plan to solicit grants to expand our business," he said.
Fortuna Grande is also looking for more people to sell its products. Boudville said the company would supply everything to the sales persons, including the banners and muffins under consignment basis.
The minimum order for each consignment is 35 pieces of muffins, priced at RM3 each. By June Ramlee
